About Us

At Tropism Ideas Ltd, we believe in the transformative power of ideas. Our philosophy is that ideas have the potential to change the world. As a creative agency, we are dedicated to pushing boundaries, thinking outside the box, and delivering innovative solutions that make a lasting impact on society.

The Need Statement

Nigeria is currently facing a multitude of humanitarian challenges, particularly impacting children, people with disabilities, and public health. With over 3.4 million children in need of humanitarian assistance and 8.7 million people in total requiring aid, the situation is critical. Malnutrition rates have soared, with severely malnourished children admissions surpassing targets by mid-year, highlighting the dire need for nutritional support. Additionally, Lagos State has recorded the country’s largest cholera outbreak, with 1,600 suspected cases, exacerbating public health concerns.

Africa’s Voices of Change Film Festival

Africa’s Voices of Change Film Festival is a natural extension of our mission. By focusing on critical issues such as children,
disability rights, and public health, we aim to harness the power of storytelling to foster understanding, empathy, and action. Our goal is to create a platform where filmmakers, activists, and audiences can come together to challenge misconceptions, share experiences, and drive social and behavioral change.

Through this festival, we seek to amplify voices that often go unheard, showcasing films that highlight the realities and struggles faced by many in our community. By engaging with policymakers, industry thought leaders, and the general public, we aim to spark meaningful conversations and inspire collective efforts toward a more inclusive and healthy society.

Call To Action

The Africa’s Voices of Change Film Festival is not just an event but a call to action to tackle the misconceptions and challenges that continue to affect these vulnerable groups. The need for this festival is underscored by the ongoing humanitarian crises in Nigeria, making it a timely and essential initiative.

Our Aims

The festival aims to address these pressing issues by showcasing films that shed light on the realities faced by vulnerable populations in Nigeria. Through storytelling, the festival will foster greater awareness, understanding, and advocacy for children’s, disability rights, and public health.

This platform will bring together policymakers, industry leaders, and the general public, facilitating discussions and actions that can lead to positive change.

Expectations

The festival will include screenings, panel discussions, and workshops, providing opportunities for filmmakers, activists,
policymakers, and audiences to engage in meaningful dialogue. The event aims to influence Social and Behavior Change Communication (SBCC) by showcasing films that highlight the realities and challenges faced by children, individuals with disabilities, and public health issues.
